It kills me when a client insists on rushing
headlong into social media, but refuses to state goals. Then gets upset with how
many resources SM is sucking up. I will be passing your post along.

Re: Top Ten Tips before Measuring Social Media ROI

Meaghan, Very nice article. Thank you for quoting my blog. I am going to have to check out the QR code fails. My social media friends and I argue about QR codes all the time, but then again, many of them don't have a mobile focus. If a QR code doesn't lead to a mobile site, the marketers have missed the point.

Thanks again!

Since I've seen a lot of people not following the steps through 100% , and I believe in the world of Social and Digital Marketing anything less than 120% is unacceptable. Great Post , Thanks for sharing.

Re: Top Ten Facebook Page Timeline Covers

Premium timeline covers from http://www.timelinecover.co/ are really impressive

Re: Can Companies Really Ask for Candidates’ Facebook, Twitter Passwords?

Thanks for the mention Kara! Great article - as you mentioned, Illinois and California are already moving to stop companies from making these types of requests. Employers should be very careful about opening themselves up to the risks associated with accessing a candidate's private information, even if the candidate is willing to violate the terms and conditions of the social networking site by giving the information to a prospective employer.

People may share picture of their resume or company's vacancy. It's the "profersonal" element that makes this job so fun. I'm connecting with our customers at a real level. And I have the opportunity to meet some of our customers at trade shows. It's the authenticity that lays the foundation for all interaction, both online and off.

Re: GSMI’s Social Media White Paper Now Available

Great Study, brings to light a lot of potential improvements in our Social Strategy.

Re: GSMI’s Social Media White Paper Now Available

Excellent study to bring back to my organization and lead necessary changes in our social media strategy.
-Austin Goins-McCree

Re: GSMI’s Social Media White Paper Now Available

Great great great resource. Great case studies. Great conference. This is concept that has come up a few times during the Social Media Strategies Summit in Las Vegas 2012. It's really struck home with me--social media doesn't have to just park itself in the marketing/advertising realm. It can help with R&D, customer service, internal recruitment, and much more. Don't be afraid to shake things up!

Re: GSMI’s Social Media White Paper Now Available

I like that the data in this whitepaper is pulled from over 150 social media managers. Case studies are nice, but it's sometimes hard to correlate just one company's success into an actionable and relate-able plan for me and my company. Overarching trends--backed up by real data--give me confidence to develop a plan that's actually achievable.

Re: GSMI’s Social Media White Paper Now Available

Advocate that all those in your organization ACCEPT (key word here) that Social Media has the ability to impact success across the ENTIRE organization.
